The Oman Sustainability Week (OSW) Awards is the annual national awards that assess
organisations operating in the Sultanate of Oman in areas of sustainability and
corporate responsibility. The primary goal of the OSW Awards is to raise awareness
about sustainability issues and to assist businesses and organisations in
incorporating responsible and sustainable practices into their corporate strategy,
demonstrating that economic, social, and environmental responsibility is a long–term
commitment. The OSW Awards recognises the vital contributions to sustainability that
businesses have undertaken to differentiate themselves from their competitors.
The OSW Awards are co-organised by Omani Holding Company for Environmental Services ‘be'ah’ in partnership with the Center for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) based in Chicago, Illinois. The internationally recognised framework established on GRI standard by CSE commends top-performing companies in implementing sustainable practices pertaining to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, which align with Oman Vision 2040 objectives. The framework also provides recommendation for future undertakings to the participants that are in line with the national sustainability initiatives identified in Oman Vision 2040.
